Installing SQL Server 7 Desktop Edition on Win XP Home Ed
I have been attempting to install SQL Server 7 Desktop Edition on my new computer
with Windows XP Home Edition but the install fails.
At the point where it is suppose to start the server and then logon/connect...
it eventually times out. The connect fails.
Has anyone tried and succeeded to install on a Win XP Home Edition machine?
What is the fix?
