Looping thro a recordset in SP

Is it possible to loop thro a recordset when a SELECT statement is executed
    in stored proc.
Basically something like, when using ADO to exec a SELECT, it is possible
    to go thro the recordset.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

You would have to use a cursor. I don't know of any other options. Look up
the 'DECLARE CURSOR' or the 'FETCH' Transact-SQL commands in the SQL books
    online.
