Re: Front Page 98<---BAD!
FRONT PAGE BAD! The best way to create a web page is use a test editor like
Note Pad. Front page is just a hassle and a pain in the @ss!

Re: Front Page 98<---BAD!
To each their own style and tools...the results are in the pudding (WebPages).
Many people do not want to "hand code" HTML pages. This is highly inefficient
for most people who want to post and share information (this is the primary
purpose for them to build webs to begin with)and do not share a desire to
craft exceptional code.
Please note in the HTML code below that fonts set to less than 8 points all
retain the <FONT SIZE=1> and the IE Explorer browser will display these as
8 pt fonts. You might also see that fonts smaller than 8 pt become dificult
to read and should be avioided for on-line text display (in my opinion).
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="Microsoft Word 97">
<TITLE>Test Font sizes from MS Word Saved as HTML</TITLE>

</FONT> <FONT SIZE=1><P>A</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2> 5 pt </P>
</FONT> <FONT SIZE=1><P>A</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2> 6 pt</P>
</FONT> <FONT SIZE=1><P>A</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2> 8 pt</P>
</FONT> <P> A <FONT SIZE=2> 12 pt</P>

Re: Front Page 98<---BAD!
I agree with paul from nono.com that Front Page isnt the greatest thing in
the world... however a large percentage of sites on the www today are developed
with it, or used at some point in it. (point proven when i viewed the line
code for nono.com which has front page elements to it) Have fun with the
web, and if you see something you like, make it your own! ... that's the
great thing, if you can see it, then you can copy it/ edit it/ and call it
your own.

Re: Front Page 98<---BAD!
Front Page is an excellent program for people who aren't HTML experts. However
it does have some quirks and you should have at least a basic knowledge of
HTML. I agree, however that a font size smaller than 8 pt. is too small to
use in a web page. I personally never use anything smaller than 12 pt. Of
course I just want to make sure that visually challenged people can read
it too! Have fun with Front Page. I recently upgraded to FP 2000 and I love
it.
Take care.

Re: Front Page 98<---BAD!
Chris I am glad that you agree with me and I do know a large percent of the
www uses Front page, but those sites are usually designed by people that
don't HTML and want a "quick" page up and running. nono.com is not my real
e-mail. I choose not publish my e-mail and made it up. Funny that there
is a site called www.nono.com and it used Front page. I still hold to my
feelings to FRONT PAGE BAD!, but I know people use it. TRUE HTML developers
don't. Thanks for reading my response.
