    Can't buy .NET

Today is launch day and you can't find a single copy anywhere. I have looked
at numerous web sites adn they are all backordered. You can't even buy it
from MS. My management won't buy MSDN just to be able to download .NET.
We've had MSDN Universal before and it really wasn't worth the additional
cost to us. I called MS sales and got a line of attitude and was essentially
told "tough" when I told them that we may be forced to stay with VS 6 due
to schedule concerns (waiting 2-4 weeks just to get the product will kill
our project plans). I had to speak to a supervisor to speak with anyone
    who cares.

Is this any way to launch a new product?

You must be looking at the wrong places. CDW shows it shipping "same day".
