    Installing Visual Studio.NET

I run disk 1 and am asked to update

    Update says 3 tasks

2 of them load okay but setup runtime files does not install and I am now
    not able to finish downloading.

    Can anyone help

    Regards

    Re: Installing Visual Studio.NET

I had the same problem. Stick in the Windows Component Update disk. Go to
the DOTNETFRAMEWORK directory and run the DotNetFx.exe program. That will
install the .Net framework. Then go back and rerun the first disk of Visual
Studio and see if that doesn't fix it for you. (Did for me.)
