Whitspace in datagridview cell

I've noticed that if the entire cell is not filled then you have to select a piece of the cell that actually has data or you don't get a value for that cell. When ever I click on the whitespace in a cell It doesn't give me the value of that cell. Any ideas?

I put the code in the CellContentClick event, not the Click event. It works fine now.
