    Newbie question : .net studio

    Hi all,

Please no flaming, i'm new to this and have a simple question.

For example if i buy .net studio and develop a windows application, when
i want to install this on another computer do i have to pay for that ?
( the software needed to get it to run on another machine )

As i understand it ( i may be wrong ) an application is not compiled into
machine code it is instead converted into microsoft intermediate language.

So what happens when i want to install it and get it to work on another machine
    ?

    Thanks

Re: Newbie question : .net studio

    Hi Steven,

You can freely distribute any apps you create with VS. You can also
freely distribute the dotnet run-time files (via dotnetfx.exe,
    available from MS's web site.)
