History of Serverarchitectures
Hi everyone.
I am a student of Computer Science in combination with Economics. Currently
I am working on my final thesis. I wonder if someone could give me hints
on literature concerning:
- IT-Systemarchitecture History, something like "from mainframes to Client/Server
to N-Tier to Grid Computing". A historical outline also stating reasons for
the developement from Centralisied to Decentralised and back to Centralised
(REcentralised)
- TCO
- Applcation Server vs. Client Server (Advantages - Disadvantages)
Any tips by eMail (cengiz.yilmaz@fh-bielefeld.de) on books or articles in
German, French, English or Turkish would be great.
Thanks for help in advance,
Best Regards
Cengiz
