sharing calendar
Does anyone out there know how I can share my calendar with other exchange
server users. I want everyone in our office to see my calendars. Let me
know what I can do?

This is very easy to do. The method you choose depends on how Outlook has
been configured. Is your default calendar on the server or in a personal
folder?
1. If e-mail resides on the exchange server (i.e. In Outlook TOOLS>SERVICES>DELIVERY
TAB you have selected "MAILBOX - username",
all you have to do is:
- right-click on calendar in Outlook
- select properties
- click the permissions tab
- click ADD and choose the users you want to give access to your calendar
to
- define roles for the users
- before clicking ADD you can set the default role
To see someone's calendar then, in Outlook click FILE>OPEN>OTHER USER'S FOLDER
- select CALENDAR, then click NAME to choose the USER
2. If your default calendar is in a personal folder
- you cannot set share by setting permissions
- You have to install NET FOLDERS (choose ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in CONTROL
PANEL, choose Outlook 98 and add NET FOLDERS
- In Outlook you now have a new option (SHARE) in the FILE menu
- click on the Calendar
- Open FILE>SHARE>SHARE FOLDER
- choose who you want to share with
- set other rules such as synchronization frequency
- the person you are sharing with will receive a special e-mail with choices:
ACCEPT; DECLINE.
- Upon accepting, your calendar is copied (e-mailed) automatically to his
Outlook and he has a new icon called e.g. "James's Calendar".
