Problem with DSN - Urgent Please

    hi,

I have created an application using MS-OUTLOOK 2000. It uses MS-Access as
the back end. It is a simple project for leave application. The no of leave
for each person is stored in the back end. It is working properly when i
work with my PC. If I try to port it in to my exchange server for the company's
usage, it is giving ODBC error. I have created the connection using ADO with
    the user DSN.

What should and where should i create the DSN . SHould it be created in the
server? If it is, then how the remote system which is connected with the
exchange server will access the database.

Please help me resolve this problem

    Sassi

First thing, you have to decide where to put your ms-access database.
Then for each client you want to give access to your application (through
outlook), you have to create the dsn in his pc. When creating the dsn, point
your database location to the pc where you put your ms-access file (you have
to check the reconnect so each time his pc reboot, it will reconnect the
    mapping to the database pc).
If you use an activex component in your application, you have to make sure
that the activex component is also installed in each client's pc.

You better consider to move your ms-access database to sql-server database,
because it is much simple to manage.

hope this will help. good luck
