Is it possible to start and stop a VB Prog remotely

Is it possible to start and stop a VB Prog remotely. I would like to be able
to do this to a VB prog that is sat on one of our servers but do not know
where to start with this. Any help would be appreciated

How do you start and stop it currently? Do you have control over its
source code? Perhaps you could incorporate a publicly creatable COM/DCOM
class you could use to control it? What sort of protocol and security
constraints do you need to consider? If all else fails, there's always
NetDDE, a disgracefully underrated technology. Like Jet, used properly,
it is too easy to code, maintain, and administer, so no wonder MSFT is
    intent upon killing them.
