Any VB function or win API can find out which NT group one user belongs to
Hi, Patrick,
I know this is out of the topic, but I need help here. Do you know any function(WIN
API ok) exitst for VB programmer, to detect which window NT/2K group he belongs
to?
Thanks in advance, any help will be appreciated.

Here is a web page that describes the process how to use Active Directory
to get the groups for a user. It is written in ASP/VBScript and requires
Windows 2000.

You can also scan through the SDK at Microsoft's web site (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp).
I am sure you already knew about the WNetGetUser function for getting the
user name. There are similar functions named GetUserName and GetUserNameEx.
The Group Policy section of the library may be of interest as well.
By the way, I found most of the information listed above by doing a search
on www.deja.com, a useful search tool.
