Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a class of software for, you guessed
it, managing customer relationships. Contact managers on steriods, typically
integrated with other systems for sales, inventory, customer service, etc.
The CRM vendors mantra is that whenever you touch a customer, do it through
the CRM so you can track it, report on it, provide cross-selling scripts,
etc.
Examples of CRM companines include:
