There are two VSS hotfixes available that are post SP3.

After applying the first hotfix, my project load time went from 2 minutes to
10 seconds! I almost didn't believe my eyes.

WOOHOO!!!

There are two hotfixes available for VSS, but the first one did the trick.

If anyone else wants this hotfix, call microsoft support and ask for the
hotfix "QFE Build Number 8860". It also can be referenced by "Hot Fix for
Microsoft Knowledge Base article number Q228927"

I would suggest to anyone using the VSS integration with VFP to GET THIS
HOTFIX!
