Add-In Program in SQL Server 7.0

Hi !!!
Can I develop Add-in programs for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0
in a language other than Visual Basic (eg other COM Compatible
languages like Visual J++ )? If yes please point me to a tutorial
to that.
