Error: "Could not find stored procedure"

Two of us are working on a SQL Server 7 / VB6 application. I created the
database, tables, stored procedures etc. plus the data access code (ADO)
in VB. My partner is working on the user interface side. When running
the project in the VB IDE from his computer, we get the error "Could not
find stored procedure". The app runs fine from my workstation.

I am the only defined user for the database. I tried to add him as a
user object to the database but that did not fix it. We both
autheniticate to the nt server on login.

Thre MSSQLService and SQLServerAgent use the local system account.

    What's is going on here??

Did you create the stored procedure under the dbo account, i.e. create proc
dbo.myProc or your own account create proc myProc ?

Re: Error: "Could not find stored procedure"

    Hi David:

Yes, I did and since then have read SQL Server Security in a Wrox publication.
It explained the topic very well and I know the fix for my situation as well as
understand the login and user security features a bit more.

Thanks for your post and help.
