VB vs. Access user interface
What are the pros and cons of using VB 6.0 to create the user interface to
an Access 2000 database versus using Access for both the interface and backend
database?

Re: VB vs. Access user interface
Got a couple of days? Using Access to create a small, few-user application
is fine. Lots of developers do it. However, scalability is an issue. Often
the choice between Access and VB is one of skills--not in superior technology
of one over the other. I've seen fine Access apps, but few that scale beyond
about 25 users. In any case when developers want to port to VB they end up
leaving years of development and skills behind to get to a VB or Web-based
paradigm. Ask someone who has taken the upsizing trip...
