Admin. message view/delete
Newbie...
We are changing from a Macintosh e-mail server to Exchange 5.5. As the system
administrator I have been able to view or delete messages from the server
when needed. I don't see any functions in Exchange to allow the same operations.
Am I over looking the obvious?
Thanks in advance...

Re: Admin. message view/delete
Hi Bill,
as Exchange Admin. - assign yourself service account access rights (there
are 3x levels - Organisation, Site, Configuration)
Then just open any folder / mailbox in the Outlook:
File -> Open -> Other USer's Folder
Or add the mailbox in your mail profile:
Services -> MS Exchange -> Advanced -> Open these additional mailboxes
If corresponding audit policy is on you will see "Open foreign mailbox" events
in the NT Event Log so the process itself is controllable.
Cheers,
