W2k, LogOn via UPN, change-password via UPN, logon to exchange via UPN

Hi folks,

the subject contain all my problems.
I can logon to W2k via my UPN, but by changing my pwd, I get an error-message
(user not found, or password incorrect).
When I want to logon to exchange, than the same problem: "user not found"
or "incorrect password".
In our case, we have a lot of people with the same Name, mostly the name
of the department is different, so that's the best solution to use the UPN-LogOn
of W2k. Our user are against naming like:
Meyer1
Meyer2
Meyer3
And there own email-adress is official and well known!
