Free JDBC for MS SQL Server?

Does somebody know if there is any free JDBC type 4 driver that connects to
MS SQL Server 7? I've searched the JDBC driver database at Sun's site and
it seems all drivers have a license-based fee.

I would normally expect to get a driver from MS but obviously they don't
    distribute one... Tks!

You can try with the JDBC driver from www.freetds.org. I personally haven't
tested but supposed to be good enough for development.
