ActiveXObject versus CreatObject
Hi,
Could you please tell me why :
<script language="VBScript"><!--
On Error Resume Next
set control = CreateObject("ACTIVESURFER.ActiveSurferCtrl")
if err.Number then
isSurferInstalled = false
else
isSurferInstalled = true
set control = NULL
end if
Work Perfect!
while this:
<script language="JavaScript"><!--
function ActiveSurferError(msg,url,lno)
{
isSurferInstalled = false;
return true;
}
window.onerror = ActiveSurferError;
var control = new ActiveXObject("ACTIVESURFER.ActiveSurferCtrl");
alert(control);
control = null;
cause the IE5 to shut down.
Thank you very much
Michael A.
