The environment is JRun 3.0 on IIS and the browser is IE 5.0

The NT User id needs to be retrieved on a jsp page in an application and
it
is the first page of the application.
The trouble is that when the NT User id is tried to be obtained from the
request object by request.getRemoteUser(), it returns a null value. this
happens only in the first page. subsequent pages retrieve the NT User id
through the same method.

we need to be able to obtain the value in the first page itself.

Any ideas ?
