Are there really solid performance enhancements going from Java 1.x to Java
2? If so, please explain how performance is improved? What other advantages
are there going from 1.x to 2?

2.Policy tools are available
3.Various security tools are available to create
crptographic keys and didital certificates, sign jar files
and check signature for jar files
4.Text Component can receive Japanese,chinese,korean characters from keyboard
5.wav,aiff,au,midi,rmf files can be played
6.Java 2D library provides advanced features for working with shapes
7.Java Plug ins are available to support for latest features.
8. Java 2 includes ORD and an idltojava compiler
9.Various tools javac,java,javadoc have been enhanced
10.Java2 supports for several collections
