Getting Started
Great language to start out on. You might want to take a course
on C++ before starting Java because Java is a very object oriented language.
You will get a good background in C++ with structural , procedural, and object
oriented design. Java is the way to go.

Use jdk1.3 or 1.2 instead which is available from java.sun.com start out
with compiler and not IDE. To me that helps a lot
