IF then Else
I was trying to do a small If then statement. I had an Accounts Recievable
situation. I had a table for transactions, I wanted to look at a field and
if it was say Invoice, I'd add the amount from the "amount" field to the
TotalInvoice field in another table. Now it the field was Payment, I wanted
to subtract the amount from the "Total" field in the other table, and add
the amount to the total payment field. My problem was that I just couldn't
seem to get the placement of the update correct. I finaly used an entirely
different technique and abandoned the SP/triger idea. Brief Example maybe?
