JAVA - Interactive Notebook - write option

My company develops browser-based interactive training courses. We'd like
    to be able to create
a "Notebook" option that would allow a student to type a free-form message
    that they could "Print",
"email" or "Save". Print and email are no problem, but saving localling from
    a browser environment
is giving us fits. Anyone know how to do this? We'd pay for some expert help.
