Single instance of a Java App

    Hi,

How do I ensure that only a single instance of my Java application is running
    on
    a machine ?.

    Crazy question!

When ever you are launching your application write into a file that app is
launched and if any and in your startup routine just check from the file
whether the instance is running or not.
