    Java Training


    I am currently a VB programmer but I would like to learn more about Java (particularly
    Java Applets). What should be my first steps? Are there any books or training
    courses that anyone out there would recommend?

    Hello Tammy:

    I teach Java at Norwalk Community College in Norwalk, CT. I've posted a
    website for the class that contains all of my lecture notes, code samples,
    and tutorials. We use Visual Cafe for the class but that doesn't affect
    the code that we write other than the code that Cafe generates for us (that
    code is in many of the examples).
