IDE Suggestions
I am a longtime VB developer and have been using Visual Studio IDE (VB and
Visual Interdev).
I would like to begin exploring the use of Java as a replacement for my VB
client executables in addition to using Java to write applets for use in
my browser-based client applications.
1. Could you please recommend some good IDEs for Java?
2. Does anyone know of recent reviews of Java IDEs in trade magazines or
development web sites?
Thanks,
Marc Bernstein

Re: IDE Suggestions
You should definitely take a look at Simplicity for Java and Simplicity Professional.
Free trial downloads are available at www.datarepresentations.com.
Simplicity for Java has an intuitive interface, a speedy GUI builder, and
an excellent automatic coding device.
Simplicity Professional is the same product with added features like a database
development tool, servlet development, and cross-platform testing.
Give them a try.
