Javaspaces

Hi there,


I was wondering whether Javaspaces is a technology with a set of its own
packages that must be added on top of JDK 1.3 packages or is it just a concept
of how to manipulate and use the existing packages and develop a distributed
system.

is Javaspaces in the same category of concepts as COM and CORBA?
