Help in Deploying Applet
All,
I have created an Applet that will be creating and updating a file
on the clients machine. I've read pretty much all the java tutorial
documentation pertaining to signing applet jars, creating keys, and updating
a policy tool. I have a basic understanding of it at this point.
My question is if I have signed the applet jar and created keys and a
certificate, when the applet is downloaded by a client how does the client
know that the applet is signed? How do I update their policy file to reflect
that this applet can create/read/write to a file? Basically,
I am not sure how to programmitically do this? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Bill
