Button selected, but 'enter' doesn't activate, what's missing?

My logon screen has Logon and Cancel buttons. I can tab to the buttons and
they are clearly selected, but "ENTER" does not activate them.
JOptionPane buttons have this functionality and I would like to incorporate
but don't know how - any suggestions?

Make sure you add ActionListener to your button.
