Re: Good Java Books !
There are many books on Java and each has its own style. After all it depends
what you are looking for in a book if you want something that goes into detail
then try Dietel and Deitel Java How to Program.
Because you are a C++ programmer you may not need to read the basic stuff
or you can go through them quickly after that probably the best up to date
source is the JDK documentation which can be downloaded free from sun's website.
Go to a book shop and spend about an hour browsing through java books see
which one's style you like most.

Re: Good Java Books !
The java programming language(third edition). From my experience, this is
by far one of the best books out there. This book is a must
