    want to view applet in my browser

    I have what must be a simple question. I have written a number of working
    applets and applications, but I have always viewed my applets with the appletviewr
    command at the command line. I want to view it with my Internet Explorer
    on my computer, but I'm having no luck, despite using the complex patch of
    code from the sun web site in place of the <APPLET> tag:

    <OBJECT classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
    width="200" height="200" align="baseline"
    codebase="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/jinstall-13-win32.cab#Version=1,3,0,0">
    <PARAM NAME="code" VALUE="XYZApp.class">
    <PARAM NAME="codebase" VALUE="html/">
    <PARAM NAME="type" VALUE="application/x-java-applet;version=1.3">
    <PARAM NAME="model" VALUE="models/HyaluronicAcid.xyz">
    <PARAM NAME="scriptable" VALUE="true">
    <COMMENT>
    <EMBED type="application/x-java-applet;version=1.3" width="200"
    height="200" align="baseline" code="XYZApp.class"
    codebase="html/" model="models/HyaluronicAcid.xyz"
    pluginspage="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/plugin-install.html">
    <NOEMBED>
    </COMMENT>
    No Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition v 1.3 support for APPLET!!
    </NOEMBED></EMBED>
    </OBJECT>

    Can somebody tell me how to view a simple applet from a simple html page,
    but using Internet Explorer instead of appletviewer?

    Thanks in advance.

    What is or is not happening when you use the code?

    Re: want to view applet in my browser

    the problem is resolved:

    In unzipping the HTMLConverter files from Sun, I didn't have the "keep directory
    structure" box checked, so the classpath to the HTMLConverter was not working.
    I don't think coding the html by hand (as I tried earlier) was going to work;
    the page just wouldn't load. The HTMLConverter adds tags similar to what
    I copied, but obviously does it better, because my applets run on netscape
    of MS IE now.

    Thanks.
