    which classes can we use to create a xml tree-document in memory

    Read about DOM(Document Object Model from www.w3c.org). You can use any parsers
    like xerces(xml.apache.org), JDOM(www.jdom.org), Oracle xmlparser(technet.oracle.com)
    etc.

    Since you mentioned those three parsers, are they your favorites? Have you
    tried others? What do you think of IBM's XML Parser for Java?
