Discussion Group Software

I´m thinking about writing a good discussion group software for my new website.
Could anybody tell me
if JSP would be the correct way to bite it this subject? Is this complex
to do something like
this with JSP or Java Servlets? Or is there any other better way?

By the way... do you know a good discussion group software?
