    HELP WANTED

I want to build a site for FREE CLASSIFIED ADS.
Programming in HTML is no problem for me.
Is there a simple way to program so that users can SEARCH for ads, adding, deleting
    and modifying ads?
I have no experience with java, cgi or perl

It is not too difficult to program such a site, but you do need to know CGI
in some form. Java's version of CGI is called "servlets".

If you are looking for easy, then use ASP and ADO to do this. ASP as the
back end processing (I assume you cannot load com objects on this) and ADO
to search your db (I also assume you cannot use SQL Server). Use Access
as your db and you are all set.

This is by no means an enterprise solution. Using he above you can make
a vere nice site that can handle a good amount of data. Once you go beyond
that you may need to get someone to assist you and/or spend some money on
a dedicated box so you can write some more powerful code.

Email me with questions. I have to write apps that reside on ISP's all the
time with no access to a large database or COM.

And yes, I no this is not java, but he asked for advice.
