want to learn java quickly

I wish to learn java language. Most Books are not of much
help I feel. Any advise or tips, how to get the concept.

Go to www.datarepresentations.com and try out the program Simplicity for Java.
You'll be programming in Java very quickly using this program, which lets
you do everything visually. Then you can experiment with adding your own
code and immediately see the effects, without having to compile. This will
help you learn quickly.

There are also Java tutorials available online, one at www.java.sun.com
