traping screen images into a file
i am trying to capture a picture of a gui i created, so that i
can integrate that image into a presentation. how do i do that?

Hello Kim:
I think ctrl-printscrn or ctrl-alt-printscrn will copy the screen to the
clipboard. You can then paste the image into your presentation. Play around
with ctrl alt and printscrn if I got the combination wrong.

In Windows, PrtScr copies the entire screen to the clipboard and Alt-PrtScr
copies the active window to the clipboard.
