You might find your answer by taking a look at Microsofts' VJ++ V6.0. -Yes
I know it IS MS but then it is still possible to write portable code so long
as you avoid certain things.
I'm afraid I can't give specifics 'cos I'm fairly new to this, but VJ++ is
targetted at just this sort of thing.
