    Newbie HELP ASAP!!

    level: beginner

    Hi ,
I'm trying to do a program for school. I just started java without any real
programming background. I need to know how to write the argument
    about this using "int cents;":

If the command-line argument is a multiple of 100 or less than 1, the output
    of your program should be:
    No coins required.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you at least put forth some effort....you're more likely to get
    feedback.

Well, actually, I did write the rest of the program. The one part I didn't
know after checking the book was how to express the "multiple" part. The
reason I asked was because I didn't find it in the book and because the teacher
didn't teach it yet. It turns out he won't require it anymore. I'm sorry
if I came across as not putting any effort. I did say I was new at this
    with no programming background.

Thank you for all your 'help' tho.

A lot of people ask for help with no intent of giving it any effort...and
you won't learn unless you try to solve the problem yourself. Your initial
post sounded as though you were asking us to do your assignment...so I'm
sorry if I came off as a jerk. Anyway, the multiple part can be taken care
    of with the % operator.
