Unable to find javac.exe file

Does j2re1.4.0 include the javac.exe file? I can't find it in the bin sub-directory
after I installed j2re1.4.0 on my computer.

You must download the SDK. The JRE is for runtime environments (Java Runtime
Environment) so you won't get things like javac. If you get SDK you will
get everything in the JRE.
