    Learning Java

Is Java worth learning? ? ? I'm starting a class in Java and I wanted to know
if it's really worth learning or should I learn a different langauge?
I know all the web technologies, ASP, VB, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, etc. .
. Is Java really worth it? ? ?

Yes it is. Java is much more than a 'web technology'. Even with what you
know, you are missing a major part of the picture.

If you really come to understand Java (the platform - not the language) you
will see a bigger picture than you have know with scripting lanuages and
    VB.

BTW, I wouldn't say VB is a web technology.
