Java and Mac

I've encountered problems while trying my applet on a Mac :
* Netscape cannot find the class file (whereas I'm sure it is on the server,
since there's no problem on PC)
* Explorer crashes when I open the Java console.

Can someone tell me how to proceed ?

Does it work on a windows, Solaris, or linux box?
