    Creating a EXE in Java

    Dear Friend(s)!
We created an application program. We don't have an idea to run this application
    without using dos prompt.

If anybody knows how to create an exe or jar which can be placed as an
icon so that the program runs when user double clicks it,please write to
    us.

    Thanks
    Bye!

There are ways you can skip the dosprompt comming there is javaw command which
doesn't display the dos window. Create a shortcut on your desktop and in
the properties you can use the javaw <class to execute>. If you click on
the short cut you won't get the dos window. In java2 you have another option
of jre or java -jar option.

    Hi,

It is possible to create exe's that run the class files. Use Java2exe, you
can find it. It still needs the class files though but creates an icon which
    you can double-click.
