Jave & Databases.
Hi,
I'm BRAND NEW to the java world! I don't know anything about it. What I
want to do is create a form on a webpage and have someone enter data and
then save it to a database. Can this be done with Java or is there a better
way? Also, I know very little HTML.
Thanks in advance for your help..!!!

Re: Jave & Databases.
Jim, do you mean Java or Javascript? They are not the same thing.
Either way, there is a lot to learn. I suggest going to you local bookstore
and grabbing a few introductory books on Java, Javascript and HTML.
Yes. This can be done with Java. There are many different ways [languages]
in which to do this.

The truth is .Net can be used. To tell him to use .Net is not the 'truth'.
Much more analysis would need to occur to determine that. First the 'What'
and then the 'How'. It may be the something like PHP might be best suited.

The code would problably be the fastest so that is the best choice.
