    Servlets

I have just installed jsdk2.0 completely and successfully
I can even compile Servlets programmes without any exceptions
Only one that worries me is that when I go to C:\prompt
and type servletrunner,it does not remain in the programme
it immediately comes out of the programme giving following
    instructions:
    1}Java.net.BindException:Adress in use:JVM_BIND
    Plain socketImpl.socketBind(Native Method)
    .bind (Unknown Source)
    .serverSocket <init> (unknown source)

    sun.servlet.http.Httpserver.run(HttpServer.java.22)
    .main(HttpServer.java.432)

    Please help me out
    thanks

    hi,

Check whether path and classpath settings are correct
path should be given to the directory in which servletrunner.exe
is found. If u are using a desktop icon to invoke servletrunner
then edit the properties of the icon by right clicking the icon and selecting
properties.U have to edit the start-in property
as the directory in which servletrunner is found.

    Think ur problem is over
    Thanx Prasad

    Hi
The reason for this is because already a program/thread is active in memory
listening at the port (by default 8080). Please restart the machine and check
again. If you still get this, please use servletrunner with options (like
servletrunner-p) and specify ur own port say servletrunner -p 10900.
    regards
