Database Entry
I have installed Oracle8.1.6 personal edition into my
PC for my use.
But as soon as I try entering into my database using
"scott" and "tiger" it throwstwo excetions and does
not allow me to go in.
please tell me what I should put in regards to my host
name.
Could Youll please explain the steps involved in executing
the same
Waiting for reply urgently.

if you have 9x windows that should do it..i ran into problmes as well wiht
win 2000 and NT.

Hello,
You chould try scott and tiger with SQL Plus8 (follows the installation)
first. If that works, make sure the Java driver from Oracle (Look at Oracle
home pages for Download)is properly installed. Hence classes111.zip must
be in the classpath and the dll files must be placed in the path.
