    JtextArea Problem

    Hi,

I have a text area, to which I am dynamically adding messages and initially
its size is Ok, but as the msgs are added it is growing its size both height
and width wise...and it looks very ackward. I dont know how to control that
and make it to a standard size..pls let me know if you have any idea..I tried
using the setPrefferedsize and Maximumsize() methods and also outo scrollers.....but
    it doesn't work?

Put it in a scroller (they DO work).
