MSXML3.DLL with AXES

Does MSXML3.dll support AXE ?
I confuse so much because when I use xpath that contains axes syntax in XSL
Document and I transform XML documents in IE5 . it works but when I use
same XPath in DOMDocument30 object in VB
it doesn't work

Sorry I type it wrong AXES=AXIS
